be warned you will feel the length of the movie (2.5hrs) but not in a bad way, it will keep you on edge and biting your nails
Heath made a knock out joker.... just amazingly creepy, the way joker should be. and it's not your typical happy ending hero gets the girl movie either if you are a fan of the comics then you will truly appreciate this movie in capturing it right (i mean mood, human traits and not by story line... some things are different) oh another thing... Christian Bale is THE batman! i love the way he separates bruces alter ego with the change of voice, that rough no games voice that exudes menace See the pain in my eyes

For those who haven't seen this yet, please do make an effort to head out and partake in the experience that is TDK. Smak's not kidding, it's a
damn good film. If you liked Begins, TDK topples that movie in every way. I've always held a special place in my heart for Richard Donner's Superman
film and have in most cases, held it in high regard. There was a time when I'd defend it to death in saying it was the greatest superhero movie ever made.
I still to this day can't say whether or not I still feel that way about Superman, because TDK set the bar really, really, really, high and I find myself
wanting to see it a 4th time (I guess I'll have to make room in my heart for TDK).
Heath's performance is beyond words. He really captured the essence of the Joker. Everything from his mannerisms to his little quips here and there were "so Joker" it's really hard to imagine anyone else in the role. I have to admit (slightly out of context), it was weird sitting in the theater seeing someone's last performance (who would've thought?) because it brought back that indescribable feeling when I was only 11...watching Brandon on the big screen for the last time. Like Brandon, I felt Heath gave a memorable performance and it'll stick with you long after you've seen the film. Capturing the essence of the caped crusader is one thing. Being able to translate what is known and widely accepted by fans worldwide into a "real world" setting is an accomplishment in itself. In retrospect, I'd argue that TDK is a smaller film than most superhero flicks these days. It's the "independent film" of superhero movies. There's no "ChangeEveryoneIntoAMutant-Machine" or "water evaporation machine" to be found. TDK's main focus is the characters and Batman's got quite the supporting cast! This is a modern day Batman very reminiscent of Frank Miller's take on the character (in a lot of instances) and there are scenes that'll just have your jaw hit the ground. As mentioned before, the 2.5hr run time flies by and it's easily the best comic book movie to have been released in a LONG time. What I love about Begins and TDK is that aside from being critically acclaimed, people seem to have made the trek to the theater not because of the hype machine, but by word of mouth. They're both genuinely Great films, but neither has relied on action figure sales or cartoons to draw a crowd.
