How do you all feel about Brandon having an Official Site? I'm in talks with some people close to Brandon about making it.
I have a lot of great ideas for it, so if all goes well, it will be huge. I mean MASSIVE. |

I think it will be a great site,even though he is deceased and news is kinda slow, it could serve as a place fans go when they want some info.
I hope the estate would serve an active role in the site,they could help in so many different ways. If you want any ideas,help or whatever let me know. ~Sam The Brandon lee Movement The movement begins March 31 |

I think an official site is a wonderful idea... Providing it
also identifies and works with the communities already established for Brandon Lee... Remember TheCrow.Com fiasco. They came online with a boom, and then just faded away over time. In fact, the last few years, it was as if there would never be another update. All the while, Crow Fan pages where finding news and relative topics of interests all over the web. The administration at TheCrow.Com spent more time taking web sites, and fan works down off the web, than giving them props, and linking up... It would be nice to have a "Home" for Brandon fans, however it would be important to establish a web ring, and it's sources. That always provides new content for the site. And if it's official, and the Lee estate recomends it, you would never be short on news... ~Dj  |

I think there should be one, because everytime you turn around, there's a Brandon Lee fansite, but it's associated with The Crow. True, the film was his last film & the best one he ever did, but there needs to be an Official Site for Brandon, that is 100% about him [of course the film would go in the filmography section].

There are a few sites, that have just Brandon lee content.

yea i just got back from the jonathon brandis site and he did actually commit suicide, or rather, he tried but didnt die right away. his friend had called 911 where he died at the hospital from his injuries. I dont understand why anyone in hollywood would take their own life. just doesnt make any sense to me at all.
Well i cant wait for an official Brandon Lee site, that would be a great achievement. |

Jonathan hung himself in the hallway of his apartment building.
I don't really understand that comment about why would anyone in Hollywood want to take their life. I guess that's because I've seen it inside out & know how bad the pressure can get. But yeah. An Official Brandon Lee Site would be great, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Like I said, it will be huge & new ideas are always coming to my head, so it will be great. |

An official Brandon Site has to have a section on the
crow movie, it was his proudest work... And probably, the most documented of all his works... Don't cut it short man... Make it BIG.. Make it BETTER... There are a lot of Brandon site centered around The Crow, but it would be nice to gather everything under the sun on Brandon. And The Crow section should be the largest ever... It was his final gift to us, and he worked so hard, and sacrificed so much to bring it to fruition... If you are gonna' make a crow section.. Do it BIG... ~Dj |

I definitely agree that it should be included & it shouldn't be small. That's not even a question. But I have to be serious here. There are still some people who are like "Brandon Lee? Who?" I think it's important to cover him more. With Jonathan's site, even though it's not official, the girl made sure that she kept it centered around Jonathan, even though his biggest work was SeaQuest. That way, people who, for whatever reason, haven't heard of him, they will know more about him, the kind of person he was, etc. Get the idea? |

Brandon Lee should be remembered for more then Just being in "The Crow",or for being Bruce Lee's son.This is the chief aim of the Brandon Lee movement,even if it takes me forever people are going to stop and remember Brandon for his own achievements.Any site,offical or not should honour that.
The Crow was important,but so was Rapid Fire,how many fans know that Brandon worked with producers for almost 2 years on that project?,he put his blood,sweat and tears in that film. I think having websites on Brandon Lee the person serve a much better purpose, then having it focus on one role. |

Exactly. I've always said that Brandon deserves to be remembered for more than Bruce Lee's son, the actor from The Crow, or because of the way he passed on. Any Brandon Lee fan knows that he was much more than that.

I can see how an official site would be kind of cool, but in the end, wouldn't it be more of a tribute site though since he is dead and there would not be any traditional updates to the site on a regular basis? There are some really good, detailed sites out there:

These three alone have a lot of content, photos, etc. Perhaps you would save yourself a lot of work by contacting these folks and starting up a webring of sorts. Sharing information, etc. I am not what you would call a major Brandon Lee fan in the sense that most folks that post here are. But I have over the years, through fans sending me stuff and family, amassed a very large collection of articles and photos on him, most relating to the tragic accident. I think I have just about every single magazine that did an article on the accident. I would be willing to get all that stuff scanned and sent to you, though it would take a while due to the number and time I would have to do it. Let me know if you would be interested. I think that updating a site, it is as important as getting the site out there.
Unfortunley those sites as good as they are, they don't update them. There is information about Brandon Lee, that does come through and alot of those sites, don't report it and so fans are kept in the lurch. I think Brandon's family could contribute a lot to the site & show things that haven't been seen anywhere else.
Plus, there are countless things you can do with an Official Site that you couldn't do with an unofficial one. Even other late stars like Marilyn Monroe & James Dean have Official Sites. I'm still working on everything. |
