My life was REALLY bad when I started coming here...abusive husband and everything that goes with it. But now, I'm re-married to a FANTASTIC guy (who looks AMAZING as The Crow....rowr....hehheheh) and we have a 2 year old son. But this place, all the old times that we all shared...that was my lifeline for a long time. You all helped me get through some truly horrific stuff in my life, even though you don't realize it. I do miss the old days of the Mad Sacker, the Crow Reality Punch, the Acronym Games....but I am looking forward to the future, as well.

To think this place was once what it was and will always be a hall of memories. How many have come and gone down these halls? How many have been helped from the words we spake? Who had their lives changed just from a seconds visit here? Like those fabled tootsie roll pops...the world may never know. I've missed and loved all of you guys. I've met some dear friends that I hope to never let go of because of this place. She is living a happy life from what little I get to keep up with of her. I miss her dearly though. She was definitely one that stayed close to my heart. However, this perhaps is a new chapter. New people, old people, no fighting over who belongs and who should be making the rules. We had a rough patch at one point. Who knows...maybe this place is being reborn like a pheonix rising from the ashes? Oh and lastly, so MM...did you ever get to meet Nathan Fillion? Because I did! Just about a week ago at DragonCon!!! We seem to be missing the icon to indicate new posts in threads now and it was here before. I'm not sure what happened. Due to Hurricane Ike, it's going to be awhile before I can look into anything at the board. We just got our power and internet back last night. We were without it all since 7:30 pm September 11.

So many things happen to a person... but there's still a draw to this place. Even when I'm not on here for a while, I always find myself back here. Short_Crow_Grrl was my screen name. I changed screen names due to getting rid of that email address and didn't get to change it on here before destroying the old email addy. With my divorce I got rid of things that reminded me of a bad past... You guys have been a part of my life in a major way. I still talk to Ink every once in a while on Myspace. I still keep in touch with David (soul reborn, brooks dark angel, whichever he uses) I still have a few others that I check in on on myspace but don't really talk to them now... You were here when I lost my mother to cancer in 2005. In fact, I joined just weeks prior to my mother passing away. When I got my driver's license. I know many a time I posted about my (ex)husband on here and had the help I needed to cope with how he could be at times... Since I lost touch a year ago... I've divorced. I've moved to a different town. Have a new man in my life. We plan to marry next year on what would be my mother's 50th birthday. She's been a big influence in our lives even though she's been gone for so a bit. I've lost my (ex)mother in law. Gained friends. God children. Happiness. I know this is all posted elsewhere too... but still. Steve has gotten me alot of stuff pertaining to the crow. I have 5 out of 6 books. Some may recall when I was getting them from the library lol. He's ebayed them for me. I have a sketch book. the short stories volume. several posters from a friend... a few more comic books. But at least he supports what I like can't beat that. As for favorite threads. I think I liked the song title thread we had going at one time... or was it about movie titles? hmmmm darn it... Anyways... I always find my way back to the chamberoom. I have steady internet now so I shouldn't fade away into the background again....

As for me, well, I'm now a old Junior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, English major. I'm hoping to be a writer. Though at this point, it doesn't seem likely, as I'm putting off studying for a exam right now. :-P What else... My two dogs died in January and June, and the housemate's cat died like a month ago. My cat outlived them all, she's 12, 13 years old, and she's still going. We got a new dog, a Catahoula Leopard Dog, I'd guess she's eight months now, I say guess because she's a rescue and we don't know her exact birth date. Been a great dog, full of energy. My mom's about to get a knee replacement surgery. We're all nervous, especially about Zoe, the new dog, because she still hasn't stopped jumping and my mother really can't have her jumping on her knees for three weeks. If she did, then my mom would have to go to the hostipal. Um, the car has no heat and it's getting cold here in NC, so, not fun. If I want heat, I'll have to shell up $1,200 to remove the dash and replace a CLOGGED HOSE... a HOSE. Stupid car. Plus, I have to pay a lawyer for um... driving spiritedly. My job keeps me pretty busy working with theater and still doing Cons ect. I started off here as "The Actor" and I grew to be a very unique individual thanks to this place that I will always call home. I've worked on several shows at East Tennessee State University and I'm slowly getting back into my education so I can eventually teach and direct. I'll be doing my 3rd Shakespeare production next Semester as I'll be playing Guildenstern in Hamlet. It's going to be exciting. Meanwhile, my costuming is growing and I'm gaining knowledge left and right. My debt is great but hopefully with this job I have working at the University now I can climb my way out over time. I've been meeting a lot of people with connections in the business as well. The director from REPO! (see my entertainment forum post on it to understand more.) and the actor who played the Graverobber. Michael Rosenbaum, James Marsters, and several others. All of them have been kind and friendly and hopefully I will eventually be able to use this to open doors for me down the road. If not, I'll still have a great memory to always remember them by. Lastly, I've started learning Magic. It's an art that I'm really enjoying and I've spent far more than I should have on it. I can tell you that. lol However, it's paid off because with each item I learn, the greater I grow for performance and presentation. That's me now. Meanwhile, this place will always be my home.
